Eswatini government
Eswatini has a unique monarchy-based government where the king holds significant power, overseeing both the executive and legislative functions. The king, currently King Mswati III, rules with advice from a council of advisors and maintains control over the military and government appointments. The country also has a parliamentary system, with a Parliament comprising two houses: the Senate and the House of Assembly, elected to represent the people’s interests. However, many authority and decision-making powers remain concentrated in the monarchy, making Eswatini a monarchy with limited political pluralism.
