ESTA

ESTA, or Electronic System for Travel Authorization, is an online application process for travelers from countries in the Visa Waiver Program who wish to visit the United States for up to 90 days for tourism, business, or transit. It screens travelers for security risks before they board a flight, helping streamline entry. Travelers fill out an online form providing personal and travel details; if approved, ESTA is valid for two years or until the passport expires. While it allows entry without a visa, final admission is determined by U.S. Customs and Border Protection upon arrival.
