Ertuğrul Osman was a Turkish prince, born in 1912, and a member of the Ottoman dynasty. He was the son of Osman Selaattin, the last Ottoman crown prince. As a descendant of the empire's ruling family, he held historical and cultural significance, especially during the transition from the Ottoman Empire to the modern Republic of Turkey. Although he did not have any political power, he represented the heritage of the Ottoman monarchy and was involved in charitable activities. Ertuğrul Osman passed away in 1994, remembered for his connection to Turkey’s imperial past.
