Error control coding

Error control coding is a method used in digital communication systems to ensure data is transmitted accurately. It adds extra information, called error-correcting codes, to the original data before transmission. If some parts of the data get corrupted or lost during transfer, these codes help identify and fix errors, allowing the receiver to recover the original message. This process enhances reliability, especially over noisy or unstable channels, ensuring the received data matches what was sent without needing repeated transmissions.
