Ernst Kaltenbrunner was a high-ranking Nazi official during World War II, serving as one of Adolf Hitler’s top security and intelligence leaders. He led the Nazi Security Service (SD) and the Reich Security Main Office (RSHA), overseeing intelligence, security, and police operations. Responsible for brutal enforcement of Nazi policies, including the Holocaust, he played a key role in planning and facilitating crimes against humanity. After the war, he was captured, tried for war crimes at the Nuremberg Trials, and sentenced to death, which was carried out in 1946.
