Erdos' conjecture

Erdős' conjecture involves prime numbers and how they are spaced out. It suggests that if you look at all numbers and pick out only the primes that are larger than a certain size, then there will always be infinitely many gaps between these primes that are bigger than some fixed proportion of the size of those primes. In other words, it predicts that extremely large primes are separated by increasingly large intervals, and such large gaps occur infinitely often — a statement about the unpredictable yet patterned distribution of prime numbers on the number line.
