ERC-721
ERC-721 is a technical standard for creating non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on the Ethereum blockchain. Unlike cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ethereum, which are interchangeable, ERC-721 tokens are unique and represent ownership of specific digital or physical assets—such as art, collectibles, or in-game items. Each ERC-721 token has a distinct identity and cannot be swapped on a one-to-one basis with another. This standard enables creators and collectors to buy, sell, and trade unique digital items securely and transparently, verifying authenticity and ownership without intermediaries.
