Equity in healthcare access means providing everyone with fair opportunities to obtain needed health services, regardless of their socioeconomic status, location, or background. Unlike equality, which treats everyone the same, equity recognizes that people have different needs and offers resources accordingly to promote fairness and justice in health access. This approach strives for a healthcare system where no one is disadvantaged because of arbitrary factors.
