Equity in health means ensuring that everyone has a fair opportunity to achieve good health, regardless of their background or circumstances. Unlike equality, which treats everyone the same, health equity aims to remove barriers and reduce health differences that are often linked to factors like income, education, ethnicity, or geography, ensuring a just and inclusive approach to healthcare for all members of society.
