Epicurean Paradox
The Epicurean Paradox questions how an all-powerful, all-good God can allow evil to exist. It asks: If God is benevolent and can eliminate evil, why does evil persist? If God can prevent evil but chooses not to, then He may not be as benevolent as believed. If He is both willing and able to stop evil, then evil shouldn’t exist. The paradox highlights the challenge of reconciling the existence of evil with the concept of an omnipotent and omnibenevolent deity, prompting ongoing philosophical discussion about free will, the nature of evil, and divine justice.
