epacadostat

Epacadostat is an experimental medication designed to help the immune system fight cancer. It works by blocking an enzyme called IDO1, which some tumors use to evade immune responses. By inhibiting IDO1, epacadostat promotes the activation of immune cells that can attack cancer cells more effectively. It is primarily studied in combination with other cancer therapies, such as checkpoint inhibitors, to improve treatment outcomes. While promising, epacadostat's effectiveness is still being evaluated in clinical trials, and it is not yet widely available as a standard treatment.
