Eosinophilia

Eosinophilia is a condition where there are higher-than-normal levels of eosinophils, a type of white blood cell involved in immune responses, especially in fighting certain infections and in allergic reactions. An increase can occur due to allergies, asthma, parasitic infections, or sometimes other medical conditions like autoimmune diseases or certain cancers. While eosinophils help protect the body, too many can cause tissue damage or inflammation. Diagnosis involves blood tests, and treatment focuses on addressing the underlying cause to bring eosinophil levels back to normal.
