Entyvio (vedolizumab)

Entyvio (vedolizumab) is a medication used to treat inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. It works by blocking certain immune cells from reaching the gut, reducing inflammation and symptoms. Unlike some treatments that suppress the entire immune system, Entyvio specifically targets cells involved in gut inflammation, which helps decrease side effects. It is given through an IV infusion, usually every few weeks, helping control chronic intestinal inflammation and improve quality of life for many patients.
