Enterovirus
Enteroviruses are a group of common viruses that primarily infect the gastrointestinal tract but can also affect other parts of the body. They spread easily through contact with infected person's stool, saliva, or respiratory secretions. These viruses can cause a range of illnesses, from mild cold-like symptoms to more severe conditions such as meningitis, hand-foot-mouth disease, or infections of the heart or brain. Most people recover without treatment, but good hygiene practices, like washing hands, help prevent their spread. Enteroviruses are most common in warmer months and in settings with close contact, such as families or childcare centers.
