Enteroviral infections
Enteroviral infections are caused by a group of viruses called enteroviruses, which mainly spread through contact with contaminated fecal matter or respiratory secretions. They often cause illnesses ranging from mild flu-like symptoms to more severe conditions like meningitis or hand-foot-mouth disease. Many infections are mild and resolve on their own, but in some cases, especially in young children or vulnerable individuals, they can lead to more serious health issues. Good hygiene, such as handwashing and avoiding close contact with infected people, helps prevent the spread of these viruses.
