
Enoch Smith
Enoch Smith was an American politician from Ohio, born in 1841. He served as a U.S. Representative in Congress from 1897 to 1903, representing Ohio’s 9th district. A member of the Democratic Party, he was also involved in local government and business before his congressional service. Smith’s political career focused on representing his community’s interests during a time of economic and social change in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He passed away in 1916, leaving behind a legacy of public service at both local and national levels.
