endurance vet checks

Endurance vet checks are assessments performed during long-distance rides, typically 50 to 100 miles, to ensure the horse remains healthy and capable of continuing safely. Vets monitor vital signs such as heart rate, respiratory rate, and hydration, and check the horse's overall condition, including muscle health and soundness. These checks help prevent fatigue, injury, or health issues by confirming the horse can handle the physical demands. If a horse's vital signs are within acceptable limits and it appears fit, it is allowed to rest briefly and then continue in the competition.
