Endpoint Adjudication
Endpoint adjudication is a process used in clinical trials to objectively determine whether specific outcomes or events, called endpoints, have occurred. These endpoints could be health events like infections or side effects. An independent committee reviews all relevant data—such as medical records and test results—without knowing which treatment the participant received. Their goal is to ensure consistent, unbiased decisions about whether the predefined criteria for an endpoint are met, which helps ensure the trial’s results are accurate and scientifically reliable.
