Endoscopic Plantar Fasciotomy
Endoscopic plantar fasciotomy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to treat chronic heel pain caused by plantar fasciitis. Using a tiny camera (endoscope), the surgeon makes small incisions and carefully cuts a part of the thick tissue (plantar fascia) that is inflamed and causing discomfort. This releases tension and reduces pain, allowing the tissue to heal. The procedure typically results in less pain, faster recovery, and smaller scars compared to traditional open surgery. It is usually recommended when other treatments have failed to relieve symptoms effectively.
