Endoscopic dilation

Endoscopic dilation is a medical procedure used to widen a narrow or constricted part of the digestive tract, such as the esophagus or intestines. A doctor inserts a flexible tube with a small camera (endoscope) through the mouth or other opening to see the affected area. Using special tools or balloons, the doctor gently stretches the narrowed tissue to improve swallowing or passage of food and liquids. This minimally invasive procedure provides relief from strictures or blockages, often without the need for surgery, and can be repeated if necessary.
