Endoscopic Dilatation

Endoscopic dilatation is a medical procedure used to widen narrowed areas within the esophagus or other hollow organs. Using a flexible tube called an endoscope, which has a camera and tools attached, a doctor can visualize the affected area. Small balloons or special devices are then inserted through the endoscope to carefully stretch or break the narrowed tissue, improving the passage for food or fluids. The procedure is minimally invasive, typically performed under sedation, and aims to relieve symptoms caused by strictures or blockages, restoring normal function and comfort.
