Endodontic Science

Endodontic science is the branch of dentistry focused on the study and treatment of the tooth's inner tissues, particularly the pulp, which contains nerves and blood vessels. When the pulp becomes infected or inflamed due to decay, trauma, or damage, it can cause pain or abscesses. Endodontic procedures, primarily root canals, are performed to remove the infected tissue, clean and disinfect the space, and then fill and seal it to save the natural tooth. This science combines understanding of tooth anatomy and infection control to preserve oral health and function.
