Endodontic Materials

Endodontic materials are specialized substances used by dentists during root canal treatments to seal and protect the inside of a tooth. They help fill the space where nerve and pulp tissue were removed, preventing bacteria from re-entering and causing infection. These materials must be biocompatible, stable, and able to create a tight seal to ensure the tooth remains healthy and functional. Common examples include gutta-percha, sealers, and various resins, each designed to support the healing process and preserve the tooth for long-term use.
