Endobronchial Blocker

An endobronchial blocker is a medical device used during lung surgeries to control airflow to specific parts of the lung. It is inserted through a tube called a bronchoscope into the windpipe and positioned in a bronchiole (a small airway). By blocking that airway, it isolates one lung or part of a lung, allowing surgeons to operate on a specific area while the other lung continues to function. This helps improve surgical precision and patient safety, especially in procedures that require lung separation, such as removing a tumor or repairing damage.
