EMS
EMS, or Electrical Muscle Stimulation, uses electrical impulses to activate muscles externally. These impulses mimic signals the brain sends during voluntary movement, causing muscles to contract. EMS is often used in physical therapy to prevent muscle atrophy, improve circulation, and aid recovery, as well as in athletic training to enhance strength and endurance. It can target specific muscle groups efficiently and complements traditional exercise or rehabilitation programs. While it doesn't replace regular physical activity, EMS offers a controlled way to stimulate muscles when movement is limited or as part of a comprehensive training plan.
