
Emperor Yongle
Emperor Yongle was a Chinese ruler from the Ming Dynasty, reigning from 1402 to 1424. He is best known for strengthening China’s central government, commissioning the construction of the Forbidden City in Beijing, and sponsoring the famous sea voyages of Admiral Zheng He, which expanded China’s influence and trade across Asia and Africa.
