Emperor Constantine

Emperor Constantine was a Roman ruler who reigned from 306 to 337 AD. He is best known for being the first Roman emperor to convert to Christianity and for helping the religion gain acceptance within the Roman Empire. Constantine issued the Edict of Milan in 313, which granted religious tolerance to Christians. He also founded the city of Constantinople (modern-day Istanbul) as a new eastern capital. His reign marked a turning point in history, transforming Christianity from a persecuted minority religion into a major faith and shaping the future of Europe and the Christian church.
