Emperor Caracalla was a Roman ruler who reigned from 211 to 217 AD, known for his military campaigns and strong leadership. He expanded the empire's territory and is famous for granting Roman citizenship to many free residents across the empire, which increased taxes and loyal support. Caracalla was also responsible for building the Baths of Caracalla, impressive public baths in Rome. His reign was marked by brutality and authoritarian rule, culminating in his assassination.
