Emission Theory
Emission Theory is an outdated scientific idea suggesting that the Earth moves around the Sun because the Sun emits a form of "force" or "pressure" that pushes the Earth along its orbit. Think of it like the Sun sending out a stream of particles or influence that "radiates," causing Earth to continually be pushed forward. This idea was an early attempt to explain planetary motion before more accurate models, like gravity, were understood. Today, we know that gravity, not an emission, keeps planets orbiting the Sun.
