Emirate of Transjordan

The Emirate of Transjordan was a semi-autonomous territory established in 1921 under British supervision, located east of the Jordan River. It was created after the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and was part of the broader British Mandate for Palestine and Transjordan. Led by Emir Abdullah, it aimed to establish a local government and stability in the region. In 1928, it officially became the Hashemite Kingdom of Transjordan, gaining full independence in 1946. Today, it is known as the Kingdom of Jordan, functioning as an independent nation with its own government and monarchy.
