Emic

"Emic" is a term used in anthropology and social sciences to describe a perspective that focuses on understanding cultures from the viewpoint of the people within that culture. It emphasizes their own beliefs, values, and experiences, providing an insider's understanding. Unlike "etic," which analyzes cultures from an external, objective standpoint, the emic approach seeks to grasp how members of the culture interpret their world.
