Emergency Department

An Emergency Department (ED) is a specialized hospital area designed to provide immediate care for urgent medical issues and emergencies, such as injuries, severe pain, or sudden health crises. Open 24/7, it is staffed by doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals trained to assess and treat a wide range of conditions quickly. Patients are typically seen based on the severity of their condition, a process called triage. The ED is essential for addressing life-threatening situations, stabilizing patients, and coordinating further medical care if needed.
