emergency beacons

Emergency beacons are devices used in situations where someone needs urgent help, such as in remote areas or during maritime and aviation emergencies. They send distress signals via satellite or radio to alert rescue authorities of your location. Types include Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs), which are portable and mainly used by individuals, and Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs or ELTs), installed on ships, planes, or vehicles. These beacons activate automatically or manually, helping rescuers locate and assist those in danger quickly, improving safety in challenging environments.
