Embryos
An embryo is an early stage of human development that begins after fertilization when a sperm cell merges with an egg cell. This single-cell zygote quickly divides and grows into a multi-celled structure, which is called an embryo. It is during this period that the basic foundations for organs, tissues, and body systems are formed. The embryo develops inside the mother's womb during pregnancy, typically from conception until around eight weeks, after which it is referred to as a fetus. This stage is crucial as rapid growth and differentiation set the stage for future development.
