Email Spoofing

Email spoofing is when someone forges the sender's address in an email to make it look like it’s coming from a trusted source, even though it’s not. This deceptive technique is often used in phishing scams to trick recipients into opening malicious links or sharing sensitive information. Spoofing exploits the trust associated with familiar email addresses, making it difficult for recipients to identify the scam. While the email appears legitimate, the actual sender is someone else intentionally disguising their identity for fraudulent purposes.
