Elisa test

An ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is a lab test used to detect specific proteins, such as antibodies or antigens, in a blood or samples. The process involves adding a sample to a plate coated with a substance that binds the target if present. Then, a special enzyme-linked antibody is added, which attaches to the target. When a chemical substrate is added, the enzyme reacts, producing a visible signal like a color change. This indicates whether the target substance is present and in what amount, helping diagnose infections, allergies, or other conditions.
