ELISA technique

ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) is a lab test used to detect and measure specific substances, such as proteins or antibodies, in a sample. The process involves attaching the target molecule to a surface, adding a special antibody that binds to it, and then adding a solution with an enzyme-linked to a secondary antibody. When a substrate is added, the enzyme causes a color change proportional to the amount of target present. This makes it possible to identify and quantify substances accurately, aiding in diagnosing diseases or monitoring immune responses.
