Eliminate Project
The Eliminate Project was a global effort led by Rotary International aiming to eradicate maternal and neonatal tetanus—a deadly disease caused by contaminated childbirth conditions—by immunizing women of childbearing age. It involved raising awareness, securing funds, and administering vaccines to at-risk populations, especially in developing countries. The project sought to improve maternal and newborn health, reduce suffering, and save lives through widespread vaccination efforts, providing communities with a safer environment for childbirth and early infancy.
