Eliade's theory of religion

Eliade’s theory of religion suggests that religions express humanity's fundamental desire to find meaning and order in life by connecting with the sacred or divine. He believed that religious symbols, myths, and rituals serve to reconnect individuals with a timeless, sacred reality beyond everyday existence. According to Eliade, this experience of the sacred provides a sense of orientation and purpose, allowing people to understand their place in the universe. Essentially, he saw religion as a means for humans to access and participate in the divine dimension that underlies the ordinary world.
