Elfin Facies
Elfin facies refers to a set of facial features commonly seen in individuals with certain genetic conditions, such as Williams syndrome. These features often include a broad forehead, wide-set eyes, a short nose, full cheeks, and a small chin. These distinctive traits give the face a delicate, “elf-like” appearance. Although these features are characteristic of the syndrome, they do not define a person’s abilities or personality. Elfin facies helps healthcare providers recognize underlying conditions that may require further medical evaluation and support.
