Electrostatic forces

Electrostatic forces are the attractions or repulsions between charged objects or particles. These forces arise from electric charges: like charges (both positive or both negative) repel each other, while opposite charges attract. This interaction occurs due to the electric fields generated by the charges, and the strength of the force depends on the amount of charge and the distance between the objects. For example, rubbing a balloon on your hair transfers electrons, giving the balloon a charge that can stick to a wall or attract small particles. Electrostatic forces are fundamental in many natural and technological processes.
