Electrophysiological studies

Electrophysiological studies are diagnostic tests that measure the electrical activity of the heart or nerves to assess their function. In cardiac testing, tiny electrodes are placed on the skin or inside the heart with catheters to record electrical signals, helping identify abnormal rhythms or conduction issues. For nerve testing, similar electrodes or needles monitor how nerves send signals. These studies provide valuable information to diagnose conditions like arrhythmias or nerve damage, guiding appropriate treatment.
