Electronic Warfare Capabilities

Electronic warfare (EW) refers to the use of technology to disrupt or manipulate enemy electronic systems, such as radar and communications. It encompasses three main areas: electronic attack, which involves jamming or deceiving enemy signals; electronic protection, which safeguards one’s own systems from similar attacks; and electronic support, which involves gathering information on enemy activities through electronic means. EW enhances military effectiveness by ensuring command and control, reducing vulnerabilities, and enabling better situational awareness. Essentially, it is a blend of offense and defense in the electromagnetic spectrum, crucial for modern warfare.
