Electromagnetic Fields (EMF)
Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are areas of energy that surround us, created by electrically charged objects. They combine electric fields, generated by voltage, and magnetic fields, produced when electricity flows. EMF is present everywhere in our environment, from natural sources like the sun to man-made sources such as power lines, phones, and appliances. While EMF can be low-level and harmless, concerns arise about potential health effects from prolonged exposure to higher levels of EMF, particularly from electronic devices. Ongoing research seeks to better understand these effects and establish safety guidelines for exposure.
