Electrical Storm

An electrical storm, often called a "storm of electrical activity," occurs when the atmosphere generates intense lightning during a thunderstorm. Lightning is a sudden discharge of electricity caused by the buildup of electrical charges in clouds. These discharges can happen repeatedly in a short period, creating a series of lightning flashes. Electrical storms can be dangerous because lightning can cause fires, injuries, or power outages. They are most common in severe weather conditions with heavy rain and strong winds and are monitored closely for safety.
