Elections in India
Elections in India are a process where citizens choose their representatives to govern at national, state, and local levels. Citizens aged 18 and above vote through a secret ballot to elect Members of Parliament (MPs) for the Lok Sabha (Lower House) and Members of State Legislatures, as well as local bodies. Elections are organized by the Election Commission of India, which ensures transparency, fairness, and adherence to rules. The party or coalition with the majority of seats forms the government. These democratic processes enable citizens to participate in shaping policies and leadership guidance of their country.
