Ejércitos Realistas
The Ejércitos Realistas, or Royalist Armies, were military forces loyal to the Spanish monarchy during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Composed mainly of conservative, traditionalist supporters of the monarchy and clergy, they opposed the Republican forces who aimed to establish a more socialist government. The Royalist armies fought to preserve the existing monarchical and religious order, often supported by foreign allies like Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. Their efforts were part of a broader civil conflict between those wanting to maintain traditional values and those seeking social and political change.
