Ejército Realista

The Ejército Realista, or Royalist Army, was a military force in 19th-century Spain that supported the monarchy and fought against Republican forces during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). Comprising soldiers loyal to the king, they aimed to preserve the traditional monarchy and oppose the leftist, socialist ideologies of the Republican faction. The Royalist forces included regular army units, local militias, and foreign volunteers. Their efforts were part of a complex conflict that divided Spain, ultimately resulting in the victory of the Nationalist forces led by Francisco Franco, establishing a military-led dictatorship.
