Eight Trigrams (Bagua)
The Eight Trigrams, or Bagua, are symbolic symbols from ancient Chinese philosophy representing fundamental natural forces and principles. Each trigram consists of three lines that are either broken (yin) or unbroken (yang), symbolizing dualities like light and dark, activity and rest. These combinations are used in practices like Feng Shui, martial arts, and I Ching to understand and harmonize energy, or qi, within environments and selves. The Bagua provides a framework for balancing aspects of life, highlighting interrelationships between elements, directions, and energies to foster well-being and insight.
