Ehlers
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) is a group of inherited disorders that affect the body's connective tissues, which provide support and structure to the skin, joints, blood vessels, and organs. People with EDS often have very flexible joints that can stretch or dislocate easily, very soft or stretchy skin, and a tendency to bruise easily. These symptoms happen because of abnormalities in collagen, a key protein that gives strength and elasticity to tissues. EDS varies in severity and type, but it generally requires medical management to prevent complications and improve quality of life.
